Macau Tower Views

As one visits Macau, one must include the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment, or simply Macau Tower, in his/her itinerary.  This, on my dismay, was something I missed out when I visited Macau for the first time in 2009.  So, I made sure to dropped by it on our second trip last January 2017.

Macau Tower is a famous landmark located particularly in Macau Peninsula. Towering at 338 meters or 1,103 feet above the ground, it is one of tallest towers in Asia and in the world - the 8th highest tower in Asia and 10th in the world by the year of its completion in 2001.

Coincidentally, one of the paintings at the basement, where the ticketing booth is, depicts Chinese New Year celebration - the very same day we were there.

Macau Tower has two observation decks.  The first one is at the 58th floor  - the Observation Lounge.

The Observation Lounge features a 360 degrees panoramic view of Macau Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane and the Pearl Delta River skyline.

Hind ako takot!!!!

Another distinct feature at the 58th floor is its glass floor enabling to look down the very ground where it stands.

There are also benches at the 58th floor where you can just sit down and enjoy the view.  Notice the colorful adornments at the railings -these are called Knots of the Sky High Wishes.

They are available in different colors and two sizes at MOP 88.00. - Quite expensive for an Ilocana hehehe.

The second observation deck is at 61st floor - the Adventure Deck.  As the name suggests, it is at this floor where extreme adventures take place. High-adrenaline experiences such as Bunjy Jumping, Sky Jump, Tower Climb and Sky Walk are accessible at this floor.

And just the same as at 58th floor, a stunning view of the city is also offered here.  There are also coin-operated telescopes available at the floor.

Admission to the Tower Observation Decks costs MOP 135.00 at regular rate for adults while there's a discounted rate for Senior Citizens and Children below 12 years old.  It is open during weekdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and during weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For other rates available at Macau Tower, just visit their page at this site.

By the way, it was Chinese New Year when we went there so they had extra discount rate.  The admission was only MOP 115.00

And yeah, another picture worthy corner at Macau Tower is the Golden Lotus located at the outside base of the tower.
