Malaysia’s Garden City of Tomorrow

June 16, 2012 – Before flying back to Manila from a 3-day training in KL city center, the Teksi driver who brought me to the airport gave me a quick tour to Putrajaya – Malaysia’s Garden City of Tomorrow.  Putrajaya is located along the way between KL city center and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (which takes approximately an hour land trip).

Putrajaya is the futuristic and trendy administrative center of Malaysia's federal government.

SERI WAWASAN BRIDGE

PUTRA MOSQUE
(MASJID PUTRA)
The most impressive landmark in Putrajaya incorporating Islamic architecture from countries like Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Morocco.  The mosque's minaret is modeled after Sheikh Oman Mosque in Baghdad and the tallest one in Southeast Asia.
