Family Day
October 20, 2013, our third day in Israel - it was Sunday. That day was the official start of the 2013 IAEA conference - the reason why we were there. The conference held a pre-conference workshops which started at 2pm on that day and Cocktail dinner at 7pm.
In the Philippines, Sunday is usually a "Family" day. We spend it by hearing mass (if you're Christian), having luncheon meal and strolling with the family. Since the conference started in the afternoon, we spent the morning the "pinoy" way. We went to Jaffa to hear mass at the St. Peter's Church, had picture taking at the Abrasha Park and then looked for lunch downhill of Old Jaffa.
Still having in mind what had happened the other day (the hashtag yayamanin experience), we looked at every menu first and asked for how much tip would they charge before we finally settled with this restaurant - the Hazan Restaurant.
Since we were in Mediterranean land, we had Mediterranean meal. That time, we all had beef kebab for 45 shekels each (#purita na ang peg??? ^_^).
And again, our kebabs went with complimentary pita bread and some dips. I guess, it's their practice - to serve such appetizers.
So far, this was my favorite single meal in my whole stay there. I loved the kebab and it went well with the salad. Bottom line: I had #happytummy! ♥♥♥
