Chamsa
This morning, I was surprised and delighted to see this inside Spoon, my brother's car - the chamsa keychain from Israel.
Chamsa, or "Hand" of God, is an old and still very popular Protection ornament. Originating from the Middle East, this amulet represents God's "Protective-Hand" and the blue eye on it shields its owner from the curse of evil eye. For centuries, the Hand has been used as a symbol for Good Luck and its positive energy draws happiness, riches and health.
This another design of chamsa is for personal keepsake. I collected it from the first souvenir shop we visited in Jaffa. The moment I got inside the shop, it already caught my attention.

At the back, inscribed is a traveler's prayer. This one is written in cyrillic (i guess).
