Visita Iglesia on Black Saturday

Completing the three more churches we missed during Maundy Thursday, Mama and I continued our Visita Iglesia on Black Saturday.

Cathedral of Immaculate Conception of Antipolo

Also known as Antipolo Catherdal, this was our first destination on Black Saturday.  Coincidentally, it was also first Saturday of the month, the day devoted for Our Lady of Antipolo, and hence, it was really a destination for me on that day.

The Cathedral is also known as the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in which the image of Mama Mary, enshrined in its high altar is the patron of travellers.

 St. Claire Church

Our second destination on that day was the St. Claire Church and Monastery in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City.  This church served once as the home of St. Claire of Assissi and is famed for answering prayers by offering eggs.
