Cambodia, as tourist destination, has a lot to showcase to its foreign visitors. Along with the country's archaeological sites, its cultural heritage, known as Khmer culture, manifested in its arts and architecture are worth witnessing. This prompted me and my travel buddies (Mama, Manang Belen, Madame Glenda and Madame Emma) to include Cambodian Cultural Village in our itinerary during our trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia in April 2013.
Cambodian Cultural Village is a theme park and museum which gives visitors a glimpse of what Cambodia is. The entire park can be explored within half day and wandering around is like traveling around Cambodia.
It is located along Airport Road #6, Khum Svay Dang Kum, Krus Village, Siem Reap, Cambodia. It admits visitors at US$11.00 for each foreign individual while cheaper price for local visitor.
The Wax and History Museum
The Wax and History Museum is a two-room museum. The first one contains around 30 wax figures featuring significant personalities in Cambodia dating from early centuries up to the present. The second one, on the other hand, has dioramas and paintings reflecting how Angkor Wat temple was built by ancient Khmer and how Khmer were during the Angkor period.

The Traditional Shows
It's showtime!! There are also performance - dance performance, in particular, held in the different villages showing the diversed cultural heritage of the Khmers. We, however, had not witnessed any of them kasi the shows started at 1:00pm during that time and the restaurant inside Cambodian Cultural Village was full, so we had to go out for lunch and we were already lazy to go back.
