Tatak Disney

Being a self-proclaimed wanderlust, it has been my practice to bring home souvenirs from places I visited - be it a merchandize or a piece of anything that would fit in my luggage.  This December 10, 2014, I was again able to visit Hong Kong Disneyland Resort together with my brother, my mother and some travel buddies.  As expected, I again brought home some memorabilia with me.  This post is then about the anik-anik I got from that place where magic seems to live on.

taken at Emporium, Main Street, USA

Let me start with the merchandize

T-shirt.  Although it happened just twice, my brother and I have this tradition of buying identical shirts as souvenirs.  For this time, below is the shirt design we chose.  Lanie, my brother’s girlfriend, also has this design.  (This costs HK$195 each.)

Ref Magnet.  It is a common knowledge that I collect ref magnet.  So definitely, I bought one for my Road Magnet collection.  I was actually looking for a design that indicates 2014 or even 2015 but unfortunately there’s none, so I chose this one which incorporates something that is Hong Kong. (This costs HK$45 ; Wish to know more of my Road Magnet collection? Just click this link: www.roadmagnet.blogspot.com)

the magnet features outline of famous HK skyscrapers

Keyring.  Well, aside from ref magnets, I also collect keyrings. For this item, I chose something that would remind of that particular visit.  So what I got was this design which says Disney Paint The Night – the night parade which fills the darkness with floats and street dancers in full LED. (Something that I witnessed for the first time.) What is extraordinary with this keyring? It is glow in the dark! (This costs HK$78.)

Wristband.  This item is, shall I say, an impulsive buy.  It is quite expensive for HK$75 but I find it as a very unique piece of souvenir.  It is made of leather, personalized and has no trace of Disneyland.  I just reckon that I should have “I went to Disney” rather than my name inscribed on it.

Next are Freebies.

Giant Paper Clip.  This giant paper clip can also be used as bookmark.  We got two of these as freebies from our merchandize.  Lanie has the red one.

Mickey sticker.  We sat with some kids and kids-at-heart in front of the City Hall at the Main Street, USA while waiting for the Disney Paint the Night parade when one of the patrol guys handed us these Sorcerer Mickey stickers.

Lastly, the paper-ful souvenirs.

Guidemap and Times Guide.  Both features Elsa, a character in the Disney movie Frozen.  I wonder if this design is in line with the cold season.

Admission Ticket.  Guess who is this character from the Toy Story? It’s Rex! (Admission to the theme park costs HK$499 each adult for one-day pass.)

PhotoPass.  This piece of paper allows one to view and purchase photos taken by Disney photographers.  We actually got 3-5 of these cards but purchased just one and they provided us with printout.

The photo service is also available online.  Along with the purchase receipt they gave us is the instruction on downloading the same photo from the internet.

Shopping Bag.  Of course, this is also worth keeping. ^_^

These are the authentic Disney anik-anik I got from our third visit to the magical world of Hong Kong Disneyland - Tatak Disney! ^_^
